No, there are no upfront fees. A placement fee is required once placement is secured. Please see registration forms for further details on placement fees.
Placement timeframes vary depending on the au pairs available. We aim to secure a placement within 2 weeks.
Absolutely, it is encouraged. Before they are sent to the family, the au pair is thoroughly interviewed and vetted by the agency first.
You will have constant support from our agency team. Kirsty, our founder, was an au pair for many years before starting the agency and therefore has a wealth of knowledge, experience and advice. She has an open door policy and encourages au pairs to reach out to her, both throughout the process and once they have been placed with a family. Every family’s needs are different, it is important for an au pair to show initiative and go the extra mile where, and when they are needed.
You have your own roadworthy car with seat belts in the back.

All Au Pair Applicants will go through:
A social media screening process.
A face-to-face interview.

No, not currently. However, we are hoping to grow in the future.
While we do prefer it and encourage it, some families are happy to hire au pairs without experience. However, it is a requirement of our agency. Working for family and friends does not count toward that experience.

Between R80 and R120 per hour, depending on the au pair experience and the family’s budget. Petrol remuneration is either AA rate, standard rate of R5/km or alternatively a family can fill up the au pair’s tank once a month or when needed.
Yes a drivers license and a car is a crucial requirement for our au pairs, even if the family does not require you to transport their children, incase of an emergency an au pair needs to have a car in order to get the child to their parents/hospital/doctor etc.
19 years of age to late 20’s. Most au pairs choose to au pair during the years they study, however, you do get older au pairs. All ages are welcome to register at the A+ Au Pair agency.
There is a 3 month trial period for families hiring au pairs. If the placement does not work out during that period, we will find you a replacement with no additional fees.
